These resolves are significant in that brave patriots risked their lives and fortunes to lay the foundation for the <I>American Revolution</I>. </div> <bR> <div> Who were these patriots? Where did they come from? How did they become involved in the fight for independence? What ever happened to them or their decendants? Why are they and the <I>Tryon Resolves</I> basically unknown when compared with the<I> Declaration of Independence?</I> What were the impact of these resolves on the quest for independence? What other counties, colonies and states also have resolves? What led up to the formation of the resolves? Where do the resolves fit in the overall puzzel of the <I>American Revolution? </I>And where in the world is Tryon? </div> <bR> <div> Utilizing the advancements of technology and through the use of the primary sources of the library of congress and other sources, these questions will be answered and other questions will be raised. Additionally, this site will provide an entryway into the world of Colonial America near and about the time of the American Revolution. </div> <bR> <div> This project is not intended to be static, but a living document unearthing the treasures in our American life and a piece of the preservation of <I>American Memory</I> as the <I>American Mind </I>is expanded.</div> <bR> <div> This project will be a resource for teachers, students, researchers of all ages as it touches and uncovers new threads that tie together the past to current realities.</div> <bR> <div> The visitor to this resource will take away from their vist what they choose to take as they form their own individual <I>American Memory</I>.
